Student Information system
Background and Justification:
I understood that information system is essential for every school in Sri Lanka. With large number of student it’s difficult to handle manual information system. Student records, Results and lot of things are collecting by manually using pen and books. Yearly large documents are gathering to cabinet but it’s very difficult to update, store and retrieving data quicker. Because of that technology is overcome this difficulties.
Computer based student information system will be more help to school management, students as well as society. I think this project will be great help to school system.

Present and past pupils, teachers & clerical staff of the school
Aims and objectives:
o To build good information system for school system
o To Rebuild up school management staff
o To give Quick service for those who want
o To give Correct and clear information for everyone.

Introduction:
These systems will be covered following points according to my knowledge. The common functions of a student records system are to support the maintenance of personal and study information relating to:
• Handling the admissions process
• Enrolling new students
• Handling records of examinations, assessments, marks, grades and academic progression
• Maintaining records of absences and attendance
• Maintaining discipline records
• Providing statistical reports
• Maintenance house details
Timeline:
Phase 1
Aug. 2013 – January 2014 Pre-Implementation: This phase focuses on the evaluation, selection,
for a software implementer, as well as creating database solutions.
Phase 2
January 2014 – march 2014 Implementation: This phase includes entering data, Relationship between tables, testing, and final software .
